Frame : 45cm H x 32.7cm W x 3cm D
Work on Paper
Description :
This painting reimagines the recurring figure of the sleeping girl in my previous series but now through a darker psychological lens. Surrounded by watchful eyes, sleep is no longer a place of peace or protection, but a space invaded by paranoia . The eyes become symbols of constant suspicion, reflecting the feeling that others were always watching, judging, or speaking about us. Deep blue tones create an atmosphere of night and emotional isolation, while distorted forms blur the boundary between dream and waking fear. The sleeping figure remains vulnerable and withdrawn, suspended in a state where rest is overshadowed by inner unrest. This work explores how love and intimacy can become entangled with fear, projection, and the invisible pressures of a troubled mind.
